SEN Teacher - Off-Site Provision

he successful candidate will be responsible for teaching a small group of approximately four pupils, delivering engaging and differentiated lessons in Maths and English, alongside supporting pupils with their wider educational and personal development.

The Role

Teaching a small group of approximately 4 pupils within an off-site provision.
Planning and delivering engaging Maths and English lessons.
Supporting pupils with behavioural, emotional and social needs.
Adapting teaching strategies to meet individual learning needs and abilities.
Creating a positive, consistent and nurturing learning environment.
Developing strong relationships with pupils and helping them build confidence and self-esteem.
Managing challenging behaviour using appropriate strategies and a calm, consistent approach.
Supporting pupils to develop their academic, social and emotional skills.
Working closely with support staff and other professionals to ensure pupils receive the appropriate support.
Helping pupils re-engage with education and work towards positive outcomes.

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for a teacher who is:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
Experienced working with SEN/SEMH pupils.
Confident managing challenging behaviour.
Patient, resilient and empathetic.
Able to build positive relationships with pupils who may have experienced difficulties within education.
Creative and adaptable in their approach to teaching.
Passionate about helping young people achieve their potential.
Confident teaching Maths and English.

Experience with in an alternative provision, PRU, SEN school or SEMH setting would be highly desirable, although applications from teachers with strong mainstream behaviour-management experience will also be considered
