Generator Engineer

Astute’s Power Team is partnering with a leading generator and UPS provider with a strong reputation for technical expertise and customer service, to recruit a Generator Service Engineer for its Hampshire depot. The strategically important Generator Service Engineer role comes with a salary of ₣33,000 - ₣45,000 per year (depending on experience), company pension, 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, and flexible working options.

• Service, maintain and repair diesel generators on customer sites and in our Hampshire depot
• Electrical and mechanical fault finding
• Commissioning, load testing, and ATS configuration
• Control system diagnostics and modifications (e.g. Deep Sea, Com Ap)
• Electrical installation fault finding
• Provide reports and recommendations for remedial works

• 3+ years in a similar generator service role
• Strong knowledge of generator electrical systems (control panels, ATS, load banking, commissioning)
• Skilled in both mechanical and electrical diagnostics
• Willingness to travel UK-wide with occasional overnight stays and out-of-hours work
• Field based role

• Experience with switch gear systems
• ECS/CSCS and other relevant electrical qualifications
• OEM control system training (Deep Sea, Com Ap, etc.)
• UPS Experience would be an advantage but not essential

• Self-motivated and able to work independently on customer sites.
• Flexible, with a professional approach to problem solving.
• Customer-focused with excellent communication skills.
• Keen to develop their career within a growing company.

• ₣33,000 – ₣44,000 per year, depending on experience.
• Overtime available.
• Door-to-door pay.
