The business supplies their products worldwide with global reputable brand names and are currently going through a huge growth period which would make it an excellent time to be a part of this company.

• Review and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and Bills of Materials (BOMs) to ensure accurate sourcing.
• Identify, evaluate, and manage suppliers based on capability, quality, delivery, and reliability.
• Manage day-to-day procurement activity to meet MRP demands and ensure on-time delivery.
• Lead price and contract negotiations to secure favourable terms, costs, and schedules.
• Create and manage purchase orders in line with company policies and compliance standards.
• Collaborate with internal teams to understand project requirements and resolve queries efficiently.
• Drive cost-saving and supply chain optimisation initiatives to support business objectives.

• Proven experience as a Buyer within an engineering or manufacturing environment.
• Experience buying into the Steel Industry would be advantageous.
• Strong understanding of procurement processes, supply chain management, and MRP systems (ERP experience required).
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship management skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
