An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Senior Civil Design Engineer to join a growing multidisciplinary design team supporting the delivery of major water, utilities, industrial and infrastructure projects across the UK.

This role offers the chance to work on technically challenging projects from concept through to construction, developing practical and buildable engineering solutions within a collaborative design and delivery environment. You'll take ownership of key design packages, support junior engineers and play an important role in the successful delivery of complex infrastructure schemes.

The Role
As a Senior Civil Design Engineer, you will:
 
* Deliver outline and detailed civil engineering designs across a diverse portfolio of infrastructure projects.
 
* Prepare and review design calculations, technical reports, drawings and engineering documentation.
 
* Support BIM-led project delivery and modern design methodologies.
 
* Coordinate multidisciplinary design inputs to ensure successful project outcomes.
 
* Work closely with project teams, contractors and clients to develop practical, cost-effective and buildable solutions.
 
* Assist with project planning, programme management and resource coordination.
 
* Mentor and support Engineers, Graduate Engineers and Technicians.
 
* Ensure designs are delivered in accordance with relevant standards, quality procedures and HSEQ requirements.
About You
 
* Degree qualified in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
 
* Strong civil engineering design experience within water, utilities, infrastructure, industrial or energy projects.
 
* Good knowledge of Eurocodes and UK industry design standards.
 
* Experience producing detailed engineering calculations, reports and drawings.
 
* Understanding of BIM-led design processes.
 
* Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
 
* Ability to support and mentor less experienced engineers.
 
* Full UK driving licence.
Desirable
 
* Chartered Engineer status (CEng) or working towards chartership.
 
* Experience working within Design & Build environments.
 
* Experience delivering projects within the water sector.
 
* Familiarity with structural analysis and engineering design software.
