Overview
Finance Support Officer Responsible to:
Deputy Practice Manager
Job Purpose The Finance Support Officer will provide day-to-day finance and payroll support to Oak Tree Surgery.
Responsibilities- Provide day-to-day finance and payroll support to Oak Tree Surgery.
- Ensure financial records are accurate, payroll is processed correctly and on time, and financial procedures comply with NHS and statutory requirements.
Essential
- Experience using Sage Payroll
- Experience using Xero accounting software
- High level of numerical accuracy and attention to detail
- Good organisational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a small team
- Experience of working in NHS primary care or a GP practice
- Knowledge of NHS pensions and funding streams
- Experience supporting audits or financial reviews
- Trustworthy and professional
- Flexible and adaptable
- Strong communication skills
- Proactive and able to use initiative
