We are a friendly, enthusiastic and motivated team based in offices in Frimley, Surrey. Weare looking for a Finance Assistant to join us to support the team in the day to day running ofthe company.

The post holder will take responsibility for day to day finance transactions including payment sand raising invoices, collating data both for internal and external use and providingmanagement information.

The role requires a good communication and problem solving skills in order to deal with avariety of tasks. The individual will need to work as part of a team but also have the confidence to work on their own and use their initiative.

Main duties of the job

Key Responsibilities and duties may include the following:

  • Managing the preparation of payments to practices and suppliers
  • Keeping accurate and orderly documentation to support financial transactions such asjournals and payments within the financial system (Xero).
  • Reconciling bank transactions on a regular basis
  • Raising invoices for income due and recharges for services provided by the Federation/PCN to other NHS organisations.
  • Acting as the first point of contact for invoice and payment queries.
  • Updating the Primary Care Workforce Portal each month to support thereimbursement process for the Additional Roles employed by the PCN and prepare the appropriate invoices.

  • Maintaining information relating to costs for the Additional Roles posts on a monthly basis
  • Bookkeeping support to practices as necessary
  • Supporting the preparation of ad hoc financial information to support businessdecision making
  • Checking and preparing timesheets for inclusion in the monthly payroll

Person Specification Experience
  • Experience of working within a Finance team
  • Good knowledge of fundamental accounting principles Standard
  • keyboard skills for using finance packages, spreadsheets etc.
  • Good I.T skills, including experience in using Microsoft Excel and Word
  • applications
  • Experience in NHS finance
  • Experience using Xero
Qualifications
  • 5 GCSEs (C and above) or equivalent
Personal Attributes
  • Communicates effectivley and clearly using verbal and written skills
  • Understanding the need to provide accurate and timely data to meet the needs of the organisation as a whole and for individuals
  • Able to manage a variety of tasks and prioritise as appropriate
