Overview
We have 2 posts available: one permanent and one 9‑month fixed term/secondment from start date to cover maternity leave. If applying for a secondment, obtain permission from your current line manager prior to applying.
Responsibilities- Provide care for patients attending the general Radiology Department and process images appropriately.
- Work without direct clinical supervision, reporting to the Senior/Superintendent Radiographers within the Department.
- Participate in the provision of an on‑call / emergency / shift‑based radiographic service for the Health Board.
- Perform CT Head scans in and out of hours.
- Engage in Radiology Directorate shift / out‑of‑hours duties as required, including night and weekend duties.
- Support Preceptorship to aid transition from student to radiographer and gain experience in General Imaging, Fluoroscopy, Theatre & Mobiles, Dental Imaging and CT scanning.
- Continuing Professional Development is actively encouraged, together with participation in the core audit programme.
- Support the CTM 2030 Strategy and contribute to delivering excellent patient care within a team.
- BSc (Hons) or DCR (R) in Diagnostic Radiography.
- Current HCPC registration.
- Welsh Skills Desirable:
Speaking & Listening at Level 3 (equivalent to CEFR B2) or above; basic conversations with patients about everyday health. Not required to be fluent.
