We are seeking an enthusiastic, motivated and conscientious pharmacy assistant to join our busy prison pharmacy team at HMP & YOI Parc. Previous hospital or prison pharmacy experience would be beneficial but is not essential as full training will be provided.

Welsh is desirable. We look for speaking and listening skills at Level 3 (CEFR B2) or above. This is not a requirement for a short‑list, but it will be an advantage.

• Assist with dispensing and supply of medication.
• Receive, process, store and conduct stock control of medicines in the pharmacy department and on wings within the establishment.
• Participate in the wing‑based medicines management service, assess patients' own medicines, and organise supplies of medication.

• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent skills, knowledge, or training.
• Current knowledge of hospital pharmacy practice.

• Experience working in a team.
• Experience in a prison pharmacy environment.
• Experience in pharmacy and dispensing.

• Welsh language skills (Level 3 and above/B1) are desirable.
