You will be at the forefront of developing and delivering our cyber exercising projects, internal training programmes, and operational cyber preparedness initiatives that ensure forces, partners, and key organisations are equipped to respond effectively to cyber incidents and disruptions. The successful candidate will be part of a creative, technically minded, and forward-thinking team, working collaboratively across the region while also demonstrating strong self‑management and commitment to delivering results.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver presentations, briefings, and training sessions to a wide range of audiences, from operational teams to senior leadership.
  • Contribute to debriefing, identifying lessons learned and embedding best practice.
  • Support the development of business continuity and major incident plans, helping organisations learn how to respond and remain operational during a cyber incident.
  • Collaborate across the regional and national network to share learning, promote innovation, and align with the NPCC Target Operating Model.
  • Build relationships with key partners including government, transport hubs, critical infrastructure operators, and local authorities to enhance cyber preparedness.
  • Maintain awareness of emerging technologies, threats, and methodologies to ensure exercises reflect real‑world challenges.

  • A creative and innovative approach to developing training and exercising content that engages and challenges participants.
  • A technical aptitude, with some understanding of programming, scripting, or digital systems (developer or coding skills are desirable).
  • The ability to work as part of a supportive, innovative team, while also demonstrating independence and accountability in managing your own workload.
  • A commitment to ongoing professional development and continuous improvement in cyber resilience capability.
Qualifications and Experience Essential
  • GCSE Level A–C in English and Maths (or equivalent).
  • Willingness to undertake NPCC‑accredited cyber training, including CompTIA Security+ and CISMP (Level
