Introduction

Acorn by Synergie is recruiting for an experienced Senior Logistics & Freight Coordinator to join a growing business based in Bridgend.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced logistics professional to oversee international freight operations across air, sea, and road. You'll manage end-to-end shipments, ensure compliance with customs regulations, negotiate with freight partners, and play a key role in delivering exceptional customer service.

As a senior member of the team, you'll also support the development of colleagues, identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, and have a clear pathway towards a management position.

Key Duties

Manage international freight shipments across air, sea, and road.

Coordinate customs clearance, import/export documentation, and Incoterms.

Negotiate competitive rates with carriers, freight partners, and suppliers.

Monitor shipments and provide regular updates to customers.

Resolve logistics issues and ensure deliveries are completed on time.

Support, mentor, and develop members of the operations team.

Identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.

Ensure compliance with customs regulations and international trade requirements.

Requirements

Proven experience within freight forwarding or international logistics.

Strong knowledge of customs procedures, VAT, and international trade regulations.

Experience managing end-to-end international shipments across multiple transport modes.

Excellent organisational, communication, and negotiation skills.

Proactive approach with strong leadership potential.

Ambition to progress into a management role.

What We Offer

Salary of £45,000-£49,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Hybrid working.

Monday to Friday working pattern with flexible hours.

30 days' annual leave, increasing to 38 days with length of service.

5% employer pension contribution.
