Position:Workshop Engineer – Bridgend
We are looking for a Workshop Engineer to join our Bridgend workshop. Ideal candidates are vehicle technicians or mechanical engineers with experience as a forklift technician, plant fitter, plant technician, vehicle technician or similar roles. Experience with plant equipment, powered access equipment, agricultural machinery, motor vehicles or industrial cleaners would be advantageous.
Responsibilities include working with small pallet trucks through to IC, VNA, and automated trucks, diagnosing and rectifying faults, and performing preventive maintenance on Linde forklifts and other material‑handling equipment.
Qualifications- Experience in at least one of the following:
Mechanical engineering, Electrical engineering, Hydraulics. - NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) is desirable but not essential.
- IT literacy and ability to use the latest technology for accurate record‑keeping and ordering.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Good communication skills to liaise with customers and internal colleagues.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
- Positive, can‑do attitude.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing needs.
- Desire to be a Linde brand ambassador.
- Salary commensurate with experience.
