Health & Safety Manager - Construction / M&E
Location:
Bridgend, South Wales
Salary: £55k-£70k + Benefits (DOE)
Join a respected South Wales M&E contractor with a strong reputation for safety excellence. A long‑established mechanical & electrical contractor based in South Wales is seeking an experienced Health & Safety Manager to take ownership of HSE standards across multiple projects. This is a permanent role offering stability, autonomy, and the chance to shape and lead the company s safety culture.

- Lead all site‑based and company HSE functions across multiple projects
- Conduct site inspections, audits, and compliance reviews
- Produce RAMS, method statements, risk assessments, and safety documentation
- Ensure adherence to CDM Regulations and statutory requirements
- Deliver toolbox talks, HSE briefings, and internal safety training
- Investigate incidents, near misses, and support root‑cause analysis
- Support project teams with on‑site safety advice and guidance
- Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and regulatory bodies
- Maintain company safety certifications and drive continuous improvement
- Proven experience as a Health & Safety Manager within construction or M&E contracting
- Strong working knowledge of CDM 2015
- NEBOSH qualification (General, Construction, or equivalent)
- Excellent understanding of RAMS, audit processes, and compliance frameworks
- Confident communicator able to influence safety culture on site
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to visit multiple projects
