We are looking for an experienced CNC Laser Operator
Day shift only to join our manufacturing team at our Bridgend facility.
This is a full-time, permanent, day-shift position offering regular overtime opportunities and competitive rates of pay.
You will be responsible for operating CNC laser cutting machinery to produce high-quality precision components used in the manufacture of aerospace ground support equipment and specialist access solutions.
Key Responsibilities- Set up and operate CNC laser cutting machines.
- Load, unload, and handle materials safely.
- Monitor cutting operations and adjust machine parameters to ensure quality and efficiency.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and work instructions.
- Inspect finished components using measuring equipment to ensure compliance with specifications.
- Carry out routine machine maintenance and basic troubleshooting.
- Work closely with production and quality teams to achieve manufacturing schedules.
- Maintain accurate production records where required.
- Follow all company Health & Safety procedures and maintain a clean, organised work area.
We're looking for someone who has:
- Previous experience operating CNC laser cutting machinery.
- Experience with in a manufacturing, engineering, or aerospace environment.
- Ability to read and interpret technical and engineering drawings.
- Strong understanding of quality control and dimensional inspection.
- Experience working with metal fabrication and machining processes.
- Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- A proactive approach with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A strong commitment to workplace health and safety.
- Relevant apprenticeship or vocational qualification in CNC machining, manufacturing, mechanical engineering, or a related discipline.
- Experience with preventative machine maintenance and fault finding.
- Permanent, full-time position.
