Kitchen helper to prepare snacks and provide tea, coffee and juice for break times and prepare a hot lunch for children and adults.

Detailed Description

Kitchen Helper Role: preparing, cooking, and laying out food for adults and children for a hot/cold buffet lunch plus preparing snacks at two break times. Cleaning up the kitchen after lunch and break times. You will be working alongside another kitchen helper.

We pay 40p per mile, provide food and refreshments and free training (Safeguarding children). We also provide a branded t‑shirt for you to wear in the kitchen. We ask all kitchen volunteers to commit to at least 3 days a year in the kitchen.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Prepping the food for lunch which will be a hot and cold buffet for adults and children.
  • Laying all the food out for lunch and then clearing it away.
  • Organizing the break times which will mean offering hot/cold drinks to everyone and a snack.
  • Cleaning the kitchen after use.
