Counter Sales Assistant

Job Summary

We are currently looking for a Counter Sales Assistant to join our team at Branch.

• Deliver excellent face-to-face and telephone customer service.
• Assist customers with sales, enquiries, and product advice.
• Process transactions accurately for both account and cash sales.
• Keep shelves replenished and stock well presented.
• Pick and prepare orders for collection or delivery.
• Help unload supplier vehicles and check goods received.
• Maintain high standards of health & safety and housekeeping.
• Assist with stock control, including regular stock takes.
• Support merchandising and store layout when required.

• Friendly, helpful, and customer-focused with a positive attitude; thrives in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Good attention to detail and willingness to learn.
• Previous experience in retail, builders' merchants, or a trade counter environment is an advantage, but not essential.

Average 40.75 hours per week:
Monday to Friday 7:30 am to 4:30 pm, plus every other Saturday morning from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm.
