Bridgend County Borough Council offers a great opportunity for you to further your social care career.
The Adult Safeguarding & Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS) Team is looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Social Worker to join the MASH (Multi-agency Safeguarding Hub). The Team is friendly, fast paced and supportive, committed to working towards and achieving positive outcomes for citizens within our area.
The MASH works in close collaboration with partner agencies such as South Wales Police and the Local Health Board, to support individuals in line with the Social Services & Well Being (Wales) Act 2014 and the Wales Safeguarding Procedures.
Along with responding to Adult at Risk reports, our team is responsible for DoLS assessments for Bridgend County Borough Council and Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board.
We offer an encouraging working environment and are committed to continuous professional development, opportunities for learning and regular, reflective supervision.
We encourage applications from experienced Social Workers, with a minimum of 3 years post qualifying experience. In return you will receive a robust induction, regular supervision, additional support and mentoring where required. The ability to greet customers through the medium of Welsh is a requirement for this post.
Protecting children, young people or adults at risk is a core responsibility of all council employees.
An Enhanced with Adults Barred list criminal records check by the Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) is a requirement for this post.
