Adults Safeguarding Social Worker – Bridgend County Borough Council3‑Month Contract | £41.58 per Hour
Hoop Social Work are currently recruiting for an experienced Adults Safeguarding Social Worker to join Bridgend County Borough Council's Adults Safeguarding Team on an initial 3‑month contract. This is an excellent opportunity to join a specialist safeguarding service, working alongside partner agencies to protect adults at risk and ensure safeguarding concerns are managed effectively in line with Welsh legislation and procedures.
The Role- Managing a caseload of Adults at Risk safeguarding referrals
- Acting as Lead Coordinator in line with Wales Safeguarding Procedures
- Undertaking safeguarding enquiries and risk assessments
- Chairing strategy meetings, case conferences and professional meetings
- Developing and reviewing protection plans
- Working closely with partner agencies to safeguard vulnerable adults
- Producing high‑quality reports, assessments and safeguarding records
- Initial 3‑month contract
- £41.58 per hour
- Hybrid working – 2 days per week on‑site in Bridgend
- Experience working within Adult Safeguarding
- Strong knowledge of the Social Services and Well‑being (Wales) Act 2014 and Wales Safeguarding Procedures
- Experience chairing safeguarding meetings and managing complex risk
- Excellent assessment, analytical and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively within a multi‑agency environment
- A minimum of 6 months' experience working in the UK as a registered Social Worker
- A relevant Social Work qualification
- Registration with Social Care Wales
- Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service, or be willing to obtain one
- 3 years of referencing history
- A full driving licence with access to a vehicle
- 20 years' experience within the Social Work market
- Your local agency, based in Cardiff
- Welsh‑speaking consultant available should you wish to converse in Welsh throughout your job search
