This is a fixed-term post until March 2027, with the possibility of a 12-month extension, subject to grant funding.
As a Business Support Officer, you will play a key role in supporting the MARAC Coordinator and the wider Domestic Abuse Service. This includes assisting with the coordination and delivery of MARACs and other multi-agency meetings, preparing agendas, taking accurate minutes, and ensuring effective recording and reporting of data. You will also contribute to strong partnership working across agencies.
MARAC (Multi-Agency Risk Assessment Conference) is a victim-focused forum where key agencies come together to share information and manage risk for individuals experiencing high-risk domestic abuse.
Our Domestic Abuse Service provides a victim-led, trauma-informed approach to risk management and safety planning across all risk levels-high, medium and standard.
About the roleIn this varied and rewarding position, you will:
- Support the organisation and administration of MARACs and related meetings
- Prepare agendas, take detailed minutes, and maintain accurate records
- Collect, analyse, and report on data to support service delivery
- Work collaboratively with statutory and voluntary sector partners
- Undertake direct work with victims, including triaging referrals and assessing risk
- Contribute to safeguarding processes and the management of risk for individuals and families
- Has an understanding of partnership working across statutory and voluntary organisations
- Is committed to supporting victims of violence against women, domestic abuse, and sexual violence
- Has strong organisational, communication, and administrative skills
- Is confident in handling sensitive information and maintaining confidentiality
- Can work both independently and as part of a multi-agent team
Experience or knowledge of working within domestic abuse services or a related field would be advantageous.
The ability to greet customers through the medium of Welsh is a requirement for this post.
Protecting children, young people or adults at risk is a core responsibility of all council employees.
A Standard criminal records check by the Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) is a requirement for this post.
