Bookkeeper/Resident Bank
Summary of DutiesResponsible for handling all Resident Banking needs. Process all deposits, withdrawals and payments of bills. Responsible for submission of monthly reports to various departments and agencies.
Essential Functions- Operate Resident Bank three days a week, processing deposits, withdrawals, and general banking inquiries from Residents or families.
- Prepare bank deposit and process cash exchange when needed.
- Post activity in Matrix daily.
- Prepare folders for all new residents.
- File as necessary.
- Maintain TV/Phone spreadsheet and make sure an account is opened for these charges.
- Maintain accurate records for audit request and response.
- Post payroll direct deposit activity in Matrix.
- Post Social Security, V.A., and SSI payments received in Matrix.
- Process and post insurance premium payments in Matrix.
- Process the weekly usage for the Beauty Salon, ensure that Residents have funds to cover costs, and post to Matrix.
- Mail Quarterly Resident Bank Account Statements.
- Enter Resident's Beauty Salon visits in RAPT.
- Answer questions/inquiries from Residents and families as needed.
- Complete Representative Payee & Representative Payee Verification Reports monthly by due date.
- Process bills for all Residents, reviewing invoices, processing checks, ensuring bills are mailed by invoice due dates; post in Matrix.
- Produce letters for high and low balances as needed.
- Work closely with State & Federal agencies to assure Social Security guidelines are followed.
High School Diploma or GED.
Skills/Experience- Knowledge of basic bookkeeping.
- Knowledge of computer programs.
- Knowledge of business office procedures.
- Ability to operate a computer and basic office equipment.
- Ability to operate a multi‑line telephone system.
- Skill in answering a telephone in a pleasant and helpful manner.
- Ability to read, understand and follow oral and written instructions.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with Residents, employees and the public.
- Must be well organized and detail‑oriented.
Normal office environment. Occasional overtime may be required and/or hours may be shortened as business needs dictate.
Physical DemandsRequires sitting and standing associated with a normal office environment. Manual dexterity needed for using a calculator and computer keyboard.
Salary$19.25 - $21.00 per hour
