Position Overview
The Equipment Manager is responsible for the procurement, preparation, maintenance, inventory, and logistics of all team equipment for CT United FC. This role ensures players and staff are fully equipped for training, matches, travel, and special events, while maintaining professional standards, league compliance, and brand presentation.
This role requires hands‑on physical work, variable hours tied to training and match schedules, and frequent travel during the season.
Key Responsibilities- Manage all team equipment, apparel, and footwear for players and technical staff.
- Prepare and distribute daily training and match gear, including home/away/alternate kits.
- Launder, repair, and maintain equipment to professional standards.
- Coordinate sizing, fittings, and issuance of gear for players and staff.
- Maintain accurate inventory, tracking issuance, returns, and replacements.
- Oversee ordering and replenishment of equipment.
- Ensure all equipment complies with league, competition, and safety regulations.
- Prepare locker rooms, benches, and training areas before and after sessions and matches.
- Work closely with Technical Staff to align equipment needs with training plans.
- Travel with the team as required, managing all equipment logistics on the road.
- Coordinate with coaching, medical, and operations staff on equipment needs and timelines.
- Support matchday operations, including setup and breakdown.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of equipment storage areas.
- Assist with special events, community appearances, and media needs as requested.
Required:
- Prior experience as an Equipment Manager or similar role in professional, collegiate, or elite club sports preferred.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage inventory systems and basic reporting.
- Knowledge of soccer equipment, apparel, and footwear.
- Willingness to work days, evenings, weekends, holidays, and travel extensively.
- Ability to lift and move heavy equipment and work in a fast‑paced environment.
- Collaborative and comfortable working in a fast‑paced, team‑centered environment.
- Passionate about soccer and driven to contribute to team success.
