St. Vincent’s Medical Center in Bridgeport, CT is seeking an Acute Care/Trauma Physician Assistant to join our Inpatient General Surgery and Trauma team. The role includes responding to trauma activations, consulting acute surgical patients, first assisting in the operating room in robotic, laparoscopic and open cases, performing bedside procedures, and daily rounding on admitted patients.

Full‑time (40 hrs); 13‑hour rotating shifts days, nights, weekends, holidays. No call.

• Unrestricted State of Connecticut Medical License (or eligible)
• Physician Assistant training
• 2 years preferred PA experience (new graduates welcome and will be trained)

• Under established guidelines and in collaboration with practice physicians, perform routine physical examinations, formulate medical, educational, and psychosocial plans.
• Consult in further evaluation and make appropriate referrals as necessary.
• Provide appropriate treatment within scope and refer outside scope to physicians.
