• Prepare non‑hazardous sterile product preparations (e.g., IV medications) following department SOPs.
• Prepare hazardous sterile product preparations (e.g., chemotherapy medications) using appropriate personal protective equipment and SOPs.
• Use IV room equipment in a sterile environment to prepare assigned compounds.
• Assist with cleaning of IV rooms and anterooms as assigned.
• Record environmental monitoring of IV workspace as required.
• Restock IV rooms with supplies to meet USP standards.
• Maintain competency in sterile product preparation by completing required education modules and testing.

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of a Pharmacy Technician program preferred.

• Prior experience in a sterile compounding environment strongly preferred.

• Current National Pharmacy Technician Certification preferred.
• Pharmacy registration with Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection within 30 days of hire and by March 31st of each year.
