The Connecticut Orthopaedic Institute’s Physician Assistant team is a growing department that covers inpatient joint reconstruction, spine, podiatry and acute fracture care.
Physician Assistant (PA) Description- First and/or Second Assist in the Operating Room.
- Provides pre-operative and post-operative care to patients.
- Documents patient encounters, including but not limited to: admissions, brief operative, progress, event, procedure and discharge notes.
- Enters, reviews and updates orders.
- Collaborates as part of a multidisciplinary team to facilitate safe and appropriate patient disposition.
- Board certified or eligible within 6 months of hire (NCCPA).
- Current or eligible CT PA license.
- Minimum of two years of PA orthopedic or surgical experience required.
