Job Summary

Vivian Concierge is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) Short Stay for a nursing job in Bridgeport, Connecticut. The position is full‑time, Monday through Friday, cent’s Medical Center (10427) within the Hartford Health Care network.

Location & Facility

St. Vincent’s Medical Center, Bridgeport, CT – a 473‑bed community teaching hospital that is part of Hartford Health Care. The facility also includes a 76‑bed inpatient psychiatric unit, a large multispecialty provider group, and special‑needs services for adults and children.

Responsibilities
  • Implements and monitors patient care plans; records and communicates patient condition as appropriate.
  • Serves as the primary coordinator of all disciplines for well‑coordinated patient care.
  • Notes and carries out physician and nursing orders.
  • Assesses and coordinates patient discharge planning with the healthcare team.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Demonstrates knowledge and skills necessary to assess patients and to identify physical, psychosocial, cultural, spiritual, and age‑related needs in order to provide individualized care.
  • Delegates aspects of care to other nursing personnel consistent with their level of education and expertise to meet patient needs and maximize staff performance.
  • Participates in daily interdisciplinary patient rounds; provides appropriate input to meet desired outcomes.
  • Reflects ANA Scope and Standards of Nursing Practice (2015), ANA Code of Ethics (2015), and ANA Social Policy Statement (2015).
  • Develops, implements, and revises individualized plans of care.
  • Participates in activities for professional growth and development outside of patient care.
Qualifications
  • Current Connecticut RN license.
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing school (BSN preferred).
  • Current BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications.
  • PACU and/or ICU/ED experience preferred.
