Human Edge Health is seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) for a Level 1 trauma center in Bridgeport, CT. The ideal candidate is highly skilled in multiple specialties, comfortable in a fast-paced surgical environment, and ready to step into a dynamic trauma setting.
Responsibilities

• Provide skilled nursing care for surgical patients in a Level 1 trauma OR.

• Circulate for a variety of surgical cases including general, trauma, robotics, ortho, spine, neuro, ENT, plastics, and GYN.

• Work collaboratively with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other OR staff to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes.

• Adhere to all infection control, safety, and quality assurance standards.

• Participate in on-call rotations, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of Operating Room experience in an acute hospital setting.

• Level 1 trauma center experience required.

• Required specialties:

• General Surgery

• Robotics (DaVinci & Mako Ortho)

• Urology

• ENT

• Neuro (cervical fusion, lumbar laminectomy)

• Plastics (abdominoplasty, breast augmentation)

• GYN

• Ortho (total knees and total hips – anterior and posterior approach)
Preferred:
Travel experience, Epic, Surgi Count, and TECSYS experience.

Certifications:

BLS (AHA) required.
License:
Active CT RN license.
Schedule Details

• Shift: 6:30 AM–5:00 PM (with some 1:00 PM–11:30 PM rotations)

• Call:
Up to 6 weeknights and 6 weekends in a 6-week period

• Holidays and weekends as needed
