American Traveler is hiring a Telemetry RN for a Level II Trauma Center requiring at least 2 years of telemetry experience and a CT or compact RN license.

• Short-term acute care hospital with 426 staffed beds, Level II Trauma Center
• Telemetry unit caring for post-op patients including CABG, TAVR, general surgery, bariatric, and thoracic cases
• Day shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from
• Floating required as needed, including possible float to Milford Campus
• Every other weekend and holiday rotation required per department needs
• Epic charting system used
• Patient ratio of 1:5

• Active RN license (CT or Compact) required
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of telemetry nursing experience required
• Epic charting experience preferred
• Skills in IV therapy, central/peripheral line care, blood product administration, and PICC line management
• Experience with cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation/management, and rapid response/code team protocols
• Experience with pacemakers, pre/post cardiac surgery care, and TAVR preferred
• Experience managing cardiac and vasoactive drips (no titration)
• Wound care/wound vac and isolation precautions/PPE experience
• 1 professional reference required for consideration

• Part of the Yale New Haven Health System with free parking available
• Royal blue scrubs required
• Flu vaccine required with no declinations accepted
• COVID vaccine and booster required, with religious/medical exemptions only
• First-time travelers will be considered
• Candidates must live outside a 75-mile radius of the hospital to qualify for travel rate
• Former staff must have been separated from the facility for at least 2 years to be eligible as a traveler
• RTO up to 7 days can be auto-approved
