American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele RN for a 34-bed unit at a Level II Trauma Center, requiring 2+ years of experience and a CT/Compact RN license.
Details- 34-bed Med/Surg Tele unit in a short-term acute care hospital
- Level II Trauma Center with 426 staffed beds
- Day shift schedule, 3x12 hours )
- Will work every other weekend and holidays as needed
- Floating required as needed
- Uses Epic EMR
- Active CT or Compact RN license required
- BLS certification required
- Minimum 2 years of recent experience required (1.5 years considered for Level I trauma or travel experience)
- Epic charting experience required
- Experience with telemetry monitoring (on-unit and remote preferred)
- Experience with IV therapy, central line care, and blood product administration
- Experience with cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia management
- Experience with wound care/wound vac preferred
- Experience with tracheostomy care preferred
- 1 professional reference required
- Travel experience required
- Provide nursing care for Med/Surg and telemetry patients, including monitoring, medication administration, and wound care
- Facility is part of the Yale New Haven Health System
- Free parking available on site
- Flu vaccine required with no declinations accepted
- COVID vaccine and booster required, with exemptions only for religious or medical reasons
- Candidates must live outside a 75-mile radius of the hospital to be considered, as local candidates are not accepted
- Former permanent staff must have been separated from the facility for at least 2 years to be eligible as travelers
- Up to 7 days of RTO can be auto-approved
