Job OverviewTerry Marine is seeking a reliable and experienced Equipment Operator to join our field operations team. In this role, you'll operate a variety of heavy equipment—including excavators, pay loaders, and skidsteer—on dynamic marine construction projects. From driving piles to setting stone and constructing piers, you'll be hands‑on in challenging, one‑of‑a‑kind jobs. Key Responsibilities- Operate heavy machinery such as excavators, pay loaders, and skid steers on marine construction sites
- Perform site prep, load/unload materials, and assist with pile driving, demolition, and installation
- Assist labor crews with hands‑on tasks when equipment is not in use
- Maintain equipment safety and cleanliness standards
- Collaborate with field teams to ensure project timelines and safety goals are met
- Participate in site safety meetings and follow all OSHA and company guidelines
- Adapt to changing site conditions and tasks based on project needs
- 4+ years of experience operating heavy equipment (marine construction experience is a plus)
- Willingness to perform manual labor as needed
- Strong work ethic and ability to work outdoors in varying conditions
- Ability to work independently and within a team setting
- Crane operator certification is a plus, but not required
- Valid driver's license – REQUIRED
- Must pass a background check in accordance with applicable laws

Full‑Time – Monday to Friday, with opportunity for overtime
LocationOn‑site marine construction projects. Primary operations are based along the Connecticut coastline.
