Athletic Coach; Girls Basketball

Capital Preparatory Schools is a network of charter schools dedicated to providing a year-round, college-preparatory education to students in grades K–12, with locations in Harlem, the Bronx, and Bridgeport, Connecticut. • Adhere to all policies and procedures of the athletic program.
• Establish goals and objectives aligned with the athletic department’s mission.
• Conduct regular practice sessions and motivate student-athletes.
• Oversee conditioning and training to ensure physical readiness for competition.
• Utilize sound teaching techniques during practices and games.
• Follow administrative procedures outlined in the Athletics Policies and Procedures Manual.
• Enforce team travel standards and oversee the care of student-athletes.
• Select, supervise, and evaluate assistant coaches.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by administration.

• High school diploma required.
• Valid Connecticut Driver’s License or ability to obtain one.
• Valid CT coaching certification.
• CPR/AED/First Aid certification.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Experience coaching or participating at the high school level preferred.
• Willingness to work weekdays, evenings, and weekends.
• Willingness to fundraise.

Salary is commensurate with experience, with an athletic coaching stipend ranging from $2,000 to $8,000 per year.
