Truck Driver CDL B

Immediate opening for a SOLO Class B CDL Truck Driver at Ryder in Stratford, CT. The role is full‑time, entry level, and requires a Class B CDL with appropriate endorsements. Ideal candidates have a clean driving record, experience in local home delivery, and are ready to start immediately.

• Drive SOLO to: CT (150‑mile radius) with a 26’ straight truck.

• Route:
Local Home Daily.

• Equipment:
Lift gate, forklift, pallet jack, hand dolly.

• Forklift experience and Hazmat endorsement required.

• Trucks are 36 months or newer with 24/7 roadside maintenance.

• Pay: $1,100+ per week (weekly) or $27.08 per hour for 40+ hours, paid scheduling Mon‑Fri, start 6:30 AM.

• Trains are paid.

• Company fuels trucks at 800+ maintenance facilities nationwide.

• Uniform, cell phone, and boot allowance provided.
• Paid personal time off starting day 1 (80 hours accrued first year). Unused PTO paid at hourly rate.

• Ensure compliance with federal and state laws and company policies.

• Load/unload freight or assist as required by customer.

• Minimum 21 years of age.
• Pass Ryder drug test, background and motor‑vehicle check (past 3 years).
• Pass DOT physical and Ryder road test.
• Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements.
• Experience:
  
  Class A or B tractor‑trailer (9 months in past 3 years OR 2 years in past 5 years OR 5 years in past 10 years).
• Ability to follow written and oral instructions; read, interpret and apply laws, rules and regulations.
