We are seeking a Construction & Materials Testing Specialist to join our growing team. This hybrid role combines responsibilities for material testing and construction inspection, ensuring quality and compliance across diverse projects. Key Responsibilities- Perform sampling and field testing on construction materials such as concrete, asphalt, aggregate, and soil.
- Interpret civil construction plans and specifications.
- Monitor construction progress, adherence to plans, and compliance with specifications.
- Maintain detailed records of project quantities, daily reports, and changes.
- Keep accurate redline or as-built drawings to document modifications.
- Communicate effectively through written reports and facilitate information flow among stakeholders.
- Ensure quality standards and prevent construction defects.
- Adapt to different job site locations and schedules, including night shift roles.
- Travel as needed, including periodic and extended stays.
- Complete certification courses to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Willingness to learn additional roles and support other divisions when workload demands.
- 3–5 years of relevant experience in construction inspection or material testing.
- Material testing experience highly desirable.
- Safety certifications (OSHA 10, First Aid, CPR) preferred.
- ACI or WVDOH testing certifications highly desirable.
