Civil Engineer

Overview

Our Bridgeport office is growing, and we’re looking for a Civil Engineer to join our award-winning team. As a Civil Engineer with Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. (CEC), you’ll work with collaborative, multidisciplinary project teams on commercial & residential developments, along with recreation, municipal, oil & gas, and power projects under the guidance of licensed Professional Engineers.

• Assist in preparing engineering drawings and plans such as site layouts, grading, and utility designs using AutoCAD Civil 3D software
• Perform basic calculations and analyses for stormwater management, erosion control, and other civil/site design components under the guidance of a PE
• Support project documentation and regulatory submissions, including compiling reports and permit applications
• Participate in field activities such as site inspections and construction observation to ensure compliance with design specifications
• Collaborate with other disciplines including Geotechnical, Ecological, Environmental, and Surveying Practices to support projects

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related ABET accredited undergraduate program preferred
• 0-4 years of civil site engineering experience (prior internship and/or related engineering experience is preferred)
• F.E./Engineer in Training certification (EIT/EI) preferred
• AutoCAD and Civil 3D experience is a plus
• Interest in Site Development including Layout, Grading, Stormwater, Erosion & Sediment Control, and Permitting
