What You Will DoJoin our team in Bridgeport, WV as a CMM Operator to support our engine center quality inspection process. You will train on 1st shift and ultimately support our 2nd shift (3:30 PM – 1:00 AM Monday‑Thursday).
Key Responsibilities- Perform a wide variety of dimensional inspection duties relating to overhaul and repair of engines or components, using Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) and precision measurement gages.
- Work from general instructions and specifications such as drawings, service bulletins, repair requests, overhaul manuals, and other technical publications.
- Interpret complex blueprint drawings and work with engineering when measuring complicated component configurations.
- Use Geometric Dimensional Tolerance (PWA
360) when measuring crucial fits and clearances. - Provide component dimensions, visual and dimensional inspection of a variety of engine components to determine serviceability and conformance to overhaul/repair manual specifications.
- Comply with all company work rules, follow safe work practices and procedures established to protect the environment, and report unsafe acts, hazardous conditions and environmental impacts to supervisor.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- 1+ year of experience in dimensional inspection, and/or operating CMM or similar inspection equipment.
- Associates degree in a STEM field.
- Working knowledge of GD&T symbols.
- Ability to interpret blueprints and engineering drawings.
- CMM programming experience using PCDMIS software.
Onsite:
Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.
