Estimated pay package based on bill rate at time job was posted. Bill rates can
change frequently and without notice. Exact pay package may vary based on guaranteed hours,
distance being traveled, and customizations available for travelers.
They work with CHF, Cardiac Cath, chest pain, Pneumonia, Chronic renal disease, COPD, Ortho, and Oncology Patients. The Oncology RN's at the hospital will give the nurses their Chemo treatments. The RN's could be expected to float between the 7 different Telemetry units. They might also float to Critical Care but only if they have that experience. They will only see patients that are in their scope of practice.
Bed sizes of the units are as follows: OPO (20 beds), 4N (36 beds), 5S (36 beds), 6N (36 beds), 6S (36 beds), 7N (29 beds), Critical Care (20 beds). MOST FREQUENT unit they will be on or assigned to will be 6N & 7N. PCU Nurse to patient ratio 1:4 and Med Surg/Telemetry Nurse to Patient ratio are 1:5-6 depending on acuity of the patient.
They have (2 what they call Pairs Units) meaning they have a PCA - (Patient Care Assistant). They use the Kronos System here to clock in and out.
