Unit Overview:
Beds: 36 (all private rooms) Patient Population:
General Med/Surg, Post-Op patients (lap chole, lap appy), oncology patients with complications (neutropenic precautions, infections, pneumonia), occasional psych patients (1:1 with sitter). Chest tubes and Pleur

X management common. Telemetry:
Phillips monitors; RNs must read and interpret strips; central monitor tech supports the hospital. Staffing & Ratios: RN:

Patient Ratio: 1:5–6 Charge Nurse: 24/7; day shift does not take patient assignment; night shift does. Nurse Aides: 3 CNAs per shift (days and nights) Required

Skills & Experience:

Certifications:

BLS required; ONS/ONCC (Chemotherapy/Biotherapy) preferred.

Experience:

Med/Surg experience required; oncology experience preferred. Heparin drip experience required; no cardiac drips. First-time travelers considered. Procedures / Equipment: CPAP/BiPAP only (RT manages) Occasional psych precautions Telemetry interpretation Shifts & Scheduling:
