Travel Nurse Source  is working with Concentric Healthcare Staffing to find a qualified Med/Surg / Tele RN in Bridgeport, West Virginia, 26330!

Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical Surgical / Telemetry Float Pool

Bridgeport, WV | Acute Care

Contract | 12-Hour Shifts (Days & Nights, 7:00 AM–7:00 PM / 7:00 PM–7:00 AM) | Onsite

• Float across Med Surg/Telemetry units as assigned, with primary assignment to high-census units; may also float to additional units including a Critical Care unit
• Manage a patient load of approximately 1:5–6 (acuity-dependent), caring for patients with diagnoses including CHF, cardiac cath, chest pain, pneumonia, chronic renal disease, COPD, orthopedic, and oncology conditions
• Read and interpret cardiac telemetry strips independently; monitor techs are available on most units but RN interpretation is required
• Report to the clinical coordinator's office prior to shift start for daily unit assignment; expected to accept assignments within scope of practice, primarily basic telemetry patients
• Participate in every-other-weekend scheduling (Saturday/Sunday) and rotate through the holiday schedule alongside permanent staff
• Collaborate with CNAs, charge nurses, and respiratory therapy; RT manages all CPAP and BiPAP equipment

• Active RN license (Registered Nurse)
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• Must successfully pass a facility cardiac rhythm exam prior to assignment
• Must be able to read and interpret cardiac telemetry strips independently
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
• A copy of a valid, unexpired driver's license is required at time of submission

• Prior experience in a Med Surg/Telemetry or float pool setting
• Familiarity with Philips telemetry monitoring systems
• Experience caring for cardiac, oncology, or orthopedic patient populations
• Comfort with variable unit assignments and adaptability to differing unit cultures and workflows

• Opportunity to gain broad clinical exposure across multiple Med Surg and Telemetry units within a well-supported float pool structure, including access to charge nurse leadership on every unit
• Structured onboarding with 1–2 preceptored orientation shifts to support a smooth transition into the role
