Description
Dave Hausbeck Trucking (DHT Group), based out of Reese, Michigan, has been ensuring safety and satisfaction for over 40 years. DHT has several divisions including Tanker, Gravel Train, Flatbed, Van, Excavating, and Landscape Supply, as well as full-service repair facilities. DHT is hiring at all facilities with additional Michigan locations in Newport, Sault Ste. Marie, Port Huron, and Bellefontaine, Ohio.
We are actively seeking experienced applicants for a propane driving position. Propane Driver responsibilities include safely loading, transporting, and unloading propane promptly and efficiently in order to serve DHT customers’ needs in the Appalachia region.
Note: This position requires at least one weekend day to be worked and does NOT guarantee being home nightly.
Preference given to applicants with 6 months to 1 year experience in bulk propane/butane tanking.

- Attach terminal hoses to the truck connections to pump propane into the tanker
- Use permanent hoses attached to the filling ports or the hoses stored in the truck to unload the tanker
- Follow appropriate safety procedures for transporting goods
- Complete all “pre‑trip” requirements before each truck run and “post‑trip” requirements at the end of each shift
- Operate a powered industrial vehicle according to applicable state and federal transportation laws
- Transport loads safely and in a timely manner over required route, obeying all traffic laws and observing all safety regulations
- Deftly maneuver truck and trailer into loading and unloading areas; follow loading crew signals
- Assist with loading and unloading of materials, using specialized equipment when warranted
- Maintain work orders, invoices, shipping bills, and other required paperwork; deliver documentation to appropriate staff
- Communicate effectively verbally and in writing at terminals and with Dispatch, Drivers, vendors, and customers
- Facilitate routine service on trucks, report maintenance malfunctions to appropriate parties
- Arrange trailers in shipping yards for optimum loading patterns
- Collect delivery instructions from appropriate sources, verifying instructions and routes
- Check all load‑related documentation for completeness and accuracy
Weekend shifts are required.
