The Cumberland County Prosecutor's Office is seeking qualified candidates for the position of county investigator.
OverviewCounty Investigators/Detectives are sworn police officers and perform a variety of law enforcement functions, critical to the operation of all 21 County Prosecutor's Offices across the State of New Jersey, such as:
- Major Crime / Homicide Investigations
- Gangs, Guns, Narcotics and Organized Crime Investigations
- Political Corruption
- Child Abuse/Sexual Assault Investigations
- Internet Crimes Against Children
- Missing and Endangered Persons
- Criminal Trial Preparation
- Long Term Electronic Surveillance
- US Citizen
- Ability to pass background and psychological examinations
- 2 – 10 years of patrol/investigative experience
- Current PTC certification preferred
- Residence within 35 miles of 115 Vine St, Bridgeton NJ
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is sought but not required
Appointees must possess a valid driver’s license in New Jersey.
