Housekeeping Director – Preferred Care Health Centers

Cumberland Manor Skilled Nursing/Long Term Care Facility, Bridgeton, NJ is seeking a Director of Housekeeping and Laundry.

• Plan work schedules to ensure adequate service and coverage.
• Perform all employment actions and decisions for the Housekeeping Department.
• Inspect all work in progress completed by staff or outside contractors and maintain cleanliness checklists.
• Inspect and evaluate physical condition of all areas of the building, coordinating with the Maintenance Department for any needed repairs.
• Maintain all files and records consistent with the adequate functioning of the department.
• Perform regular inspections of resident areas and rooms for sanitation, safety and proper performance of assigned duties.
• Ensure proper safety and security regarding resident belongings and items used in carrying out housekeeping and laundry functions.

• Prior experience managing a housekeeping staff.
• Previous experience operating an in‑house laundry.
• Experience working and managing employees in a health care facility is strongly preferred.
• Experience providing cleaning services in a fast‑paced environment.
• Strong communication skills; both written and oral.
