The Nursing Assistant provides direct care to inmates under the direction of a physician, physician’s assistant, registered nurse, or licensed practical nurse, assisting with daily living activities, clinical assessments, and procedural support.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved Certified Nurse Aide program with current certification in New Jersey as a Nursing Assistant.

Certifications & Licenses

• Current CPR certification.
• Valid driver’s license approved by the Department of Corrections (DOC) and compliant with all DOC requirements.

Physical Demands & Work Environment

The Nursing Assistant must be able to perform CPR for at least 10 minutes and lift or rotate patients who are unable to ambulate, up to 50 pounds. The role requires an evening shift, full onsite work arrangement, and adherence to DOC requirements.

Compensation

Minimum Salary: $20,410
Mid Range Salary: $20,910
Maximum Salary: $21,540
