Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Jersey or compact state

• Current BLS certification (American Heart Association preferred)

• Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg nursing experience required

• Correctional nursing or correctional healthcare experience preferred

• Strong clinical assessment, triage, and documentation skills

• Ability to work independently and adapt to a dynamic clinical environment
Med/Surg RN Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive medical-surgical nursing care to inmate patients, addressing a range of acute and chronic health conditions

• Perform triage, patient assessment, and develop individualized care plans

• Promote patient health and safety in accordance with correctional healthcare and regulatory guidelines
