Inside Sales Representative

Bell Nursery is searching for an inside sales associate. This is a full‑time, year‑round office position located in Bridgeton, NJ. The candidate should hold a bachelor’s degree in ornamental horticulture or have comparable experience.

• Understand and demonstrate the product or service to the customer
• Set and meet sales goals and objectives set by leadership
• Conduct outbound calls to potential customers in the designated market
• Develop new business opportunities through lead generation and prospecting
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients
• Identify customer needs and recommend appropriate products or services
• Provide exceptional customer service and address any inquiries or concerns
• Respond to customer inquiries regarding company products and services
• Process customer phone orders
• Check availability of stock and shipping dates
• Quote prices, fill orders to customer specifications and process sales data via computer
• Assist the outside sales team by preparing prices and sourcing products
• Collaborate with the sales team to develop effective sales strategies and achieve sales targets
• Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and follow‑up actions in the CRM system

• Bachelor’s degree in ornamental horticulture or comparable experience
• Extensive knowledge of ornamental plants
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Excel
• Strong attention to detail with exceptional communication skills
• Strong analytical abilities and business process knowledge
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with team members
• High level of energy and sense of urgency; self‑starter; strong and effective multi‑tasker
• Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner
• Sales experience
• Strong typing skills
• Strong accuracy and detail orientation
• Bilingual—English and Spanish preferred, but not required
• Ability to work full‑time 5 to 6 days a week, with possible weekends and/or holidays
• Strong interpersonal, motivating, organizational, and follow‑through skills

• Ability to maintain a fair and consistent set of standards as they apply to the workforce
• Ability to adjust priorities and manage time wisely in a fast‑paced environment
• Ability to communicate in a clear, concise manner
