Location: LunenburgWe are currently seeking a Red Seal Welder/Fabricator to join our Lunenburg Operations. The Red Seal Welder/Fabricator will possess the ability to work independently and as part of a dynamic maintenance team in a progressive work environment. This is a unionized position located at our plant in Lunenburg, NS. The successful candidate will be assigned to an available shift by seniority following completion of in-house training.

Primary Responsibilities:
Fabricating or modifying production equipmentCompletion of preventative maintenance tasksAbility to work with hand and powered toolsConduct or assist with general mechanical maintenance, repairs, preventative maintenance, and other assigned maintenance activities when fabrication or welding work is not requiredOther projects/duties as requiredThe successful applicant will possess the following:
Certification as a welderCapable of fabricating or modifying production equipmentExperience in the food processing industry would be an asset.Familiar with food processing and packaging equipment preferred.Good general mechanical aptitude, with the ability and willingness to apply transferable skills to a variety of maintenance activities and work assignments as operational needs requireJob Type: Full-time
Salary: $38.42 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
Schedule:
8 hour shiftWeekends as neededSupplemental pay types:
