South Shore Regional Hospital (SSRH) seeks a dedicated Anesthesiologist with Royal College certification for a full-time role. As part of a team of five, you will deliver anesthesia services for a wide variety of surgeries including general surgery, obstetrics, and pediatric ENT. You'll also engage in quality improvement activities and participate in educational programs for medical students and residents.
Key Responsibilities:
• Administer anesthesia services across varied surgical procedures
• Provide care and coordination for community-based and hospital services
• Participate in preoperative assessments and acute pain management
• Engage in on-call duties including weekends and overnight shifts
• Contribute to medical education initiatives for students and residents
Requirements:
• Certification from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada
• Ability to live within 20 minutes of SSRH for on-call duties
• Experience in a range of surgical anesthesiology practices
• Commitment to quality improvement in patient care
• Interest in educational roles within the hospital
