Itistheresponsibilityofthe Senior Estimatortodeterminetheestimatedcostsfor Haynes Grouptocompleteaprojectforaclient ,establishsoundpricingforprojectsproposals.

Evaluatebidspecificationsanddrawingsthoroughlytoensurealldetailsofthejobareincludedintheproposal.

Communicateeffectivelyandbuildrelationshipswithvendorsandsubcontractorstoreceivetimelyandaccuratequotesformaterials,equipmentandresourcesrelatedtothejobestimate–networkingiscritical.

Workcloselywiththe Project Managementteamstopursuebidsandbudgetstofinalizetheproposal .Allproposalsmustbereviewedbythe Chief Estimatorpriortosendingtoensureaccuracy .

Responsibilities and Duties

• Submit
  100% ofbidsandbudgetsbyestablisheddeadline,includingtimefor
  
  Chief
  
  Estimator’sreview.
  
  Enterallrelevantinformationinto Estimating software(Excel&Sage).
• Developestimatesandbidsforpotentialprojectsapplyingthoroughunderstandingofthescopeforspecifictradesassigned.
  
  Abilityandknowledgetoassemblebidsbasedonplansandspecs,schematictestfits,design build,andpreliminarybudgetsbasedonclient’sdesires.
• Communicatebidpackage,RFI’s,andnecessaryclarificationstosubcontractorstoensurepropercoverageforpotentialprojects.
  
  Performcomprehensiveanalysisandscopingofassignedtrades(Building Connected).
• Createbidlisttofitscopeofjob,securepropersubsfortheproject,andincorporatevalue-engineeringideasonproposal.
• Solicitandfosterrelationshipswithsubcontractorsandvendorstomaximizeavailablepoolforbids.
• Reviewdrawingswith Project Managementteamand Chief Estimatortohighlightareasofconcern .
• Followupwith Project Managementteamonsubmittedbidsandbudgetstohelpclosebusiness .
• Participateinhand-offandclose-out meetings.
  
  Provideallbiddocumentationtothe Project Management team .
• Informsubcontractorsofprojectschedule,documentlongleaditems,andgaincommitmentofstrictadherence.
• Engageinprojectbuyoutandnegotiationswithsubcontractors.
• Completein-housetake-off’s,if required,togatherinformationforbids.
  
  Visitprojectsite,gatherdetails,andcompiledatatoestimateallcostsaccordingtospecifications.
• Developaccurateconceptualcostmodels;understandconstructionmethods,productivity,equipment,systemsandmaterials.
• Documentandupdateinternaldatabasewithcurrentmaterialandlaborpricing.
• Coordinateandattendsitewalkthroughs.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’sdegreeorrelatedfieldorminimumoffouryears’related experience.
• 5-8years’experienceinconstructionestimating,orsimilarfield.
• Proficientwitharchitecturalplans;read,understand,andinterprettoproducesoundestimates.
• Possessstrongunderstandingofconstructionprocess.
• Demonstratedleadershipacumenandabilitytoprovideexceptionalcustomerservicetoallbusinesspartners–internalandexternal.
• Establishedproblem-solving ability.
• Demonstratedmoneymanagementskills–understandinghowtofinanceaprojectfromsalariestosuppliestounexpectedcashemergenciescanbecritical.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite ,andotherindustryrelatedapplications,includingAIapplications.
• Excellentwrittenandverbalcommunicationskills.
• Abilitytoworkthehoursrequiredtosupportprojectneeds.
