Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • College graduate with a degree in journalism or communications, with related experience in a corporate environment.
  • Ability to effectively organize and manage multiple work streams in a fast-paced environment to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate with team initiatives.
  • Excellent writing skills, including interviewing and proofreading.
  • Visual design or graphic skills; ability to shoot photos or create ad hoc videos.
  • Attention to detail; ability to maintain confidentiality; professional, outgoing personality.
  • Clear and persuasive communication skills, both written and face-to-face or by phone.
  • Proficiency in Word, PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint, and photo editing software.
  • Proficiency in spoken and written English.
Responsibilities
  • Support internal and external communication channels as needed.
  • Create news stories for online or print channels to reinforce strategic messaging and meet business goals.
  • Interview key personnel and write concise, engaging copy following AP style to communicate key messages about products, technologies, and strategies.
  • Follow up to develop final approved copy to meet deadlines. Proofread and edit submissions from contributors.
  • Assist in designing collateral to enhance visual appeal.
  • Support event management, campaigns, or special initiatives.
  • Create messages and support the Digital Signage Network.
  • Create or edit PowerPoint slides, incorporate graphics, resize photos, and retrieve visuals as needed.
  • Collaborate with graphic designers to improve slide visuals and create templates or videos.
  • Deploy messages via content management system, resolve technical issues, update documentation, and coordinate translations as needed.
