Dentist (Part-Time) – Old Colony Correctional Center, Bridgewater, MA

Vital Core Health Strategies, a leader in Correctional Health Care, is hiring a part‑time dentist for the Old Colony Correctional Center. This position involves providing dental services and directing patient care, including clinical examination, treatment of patients, and administration of clinical protocols.

Base pay: $117.00/hr – $122.00/hr.

Schedule:

Part‑time, 8 hours per week.

• Perform and interpret radiographic exams.
• Provide emergency dental treatment, oral surgery, restorative dentistry, periodontal therapy, and extractions within the scope of a general dentist.
• Correct significant oral problems that may adversely affect inmate health.
• Make referrals for procedures that cannot be performed on site.
• Report unusual occurrences or accidents to the site or Regional Medical Director; attend training and meetings as required.

• Maintain current DEA number.
• Currently licensed in the state.
• Fluent in English (reading, writing, speaking, understanding).
• Supportive team member who demonstrates teamwork.
• Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant.
• Ability to deal tactfully with personnel, family members, visitors, government agencies, and the general public.
• Possess leadership and supervisory ability; work harmoniously with and supervise other personnel.
• Must not pose a direct threat to health or safety of others.
