Position Description

TMS tutors provide peer mentorship and language support to BSU students for whom English is an additional language. Students and tutors are paired at the beginning of the semester and meet for an hour each week. Tutors help students achieve a higher proficiency in conversation and public speaking, listening comprehension, writing, and reading in English. Tutors must take ENGL 205, a one credit class, for two semesters in order to receive continuous feedback on tutoring strategies.

The class meets on Tuesdays from 3:25-4:15pm.
