Position: Spring 2026 Half (.5) Graduate Assistant - Office of Provost

Spring 2026 Half (.5) Graduate Assistant – Office of Provost

The Half Graduate Assistant (.5 GA) will work 10 hours per week and receive up to 7.5 credits of tuition and student fee waivers
: 6 credits for spring and 1.5 credits for summer.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in the planning, implementation, facilitation and evaluation of Office of the Provost meetings and events, specifically focused on events that have broad outreach to wide numbers of faculty and staff.
  • Coordinate benchmarking studies exploring effective practices at multiple higher education institutions; develop a summary table of data, a briefing paper summarizing key themes, or a presentation slide deck summarizing important findings.
  • Support the Associate or Assistant Provosts with project management and follow‑up communications, including communication with faculty and staff about current projects or ongoing participation in project meetings.
  • Assist in the management of Bridge Net or Blackboard sites for initiatives in the Office of the Provost or for faculty‑led projects.
  • Where appropriate, participate in committees or advisory boards when student representation is needed.
Additional Responsibilities (based on interests)
  • A focus on data analysis projects, including the review of data from workshop evaluations or meetings and summarizing data and key findings to Associate or Assistant Provosts.
  • A focus on higher education leadership, including management responsibilities for campus committees or leadership groups such as the Leadership Council, Academic Council, Chairs Council or Provost's Council if warranted.
  • A focus on communications projects, reflecting the Office of the Provost's goal of improving outreach and engagement with the campus; design advertisements for events and partner with leaders in the division to bolster outreach and communications; represent the Office of the Provost in ongoing outreach activities for the division.
