Engineering Geologist

Geotechnical engineering professional with expertise in soil and rock analysis, site investigations, and ground stability assessments.

We’re currently partnering with a leading UK provider of testing, inspection, and certification services to recruit an Engineering Geologist for their expanding Infrastructure Division. This is a permanent opportunity for a driven Geologist/Engineering Geologist looking to develop their career with an organisation that plays a key role in delivering safer, more sustainable built environments across the country.

• You’ll carry out detailed site investigations and ground assessments, uncovering crucial insights into surface and subsurface conditions.
• You’ll collaborate closely with experienced multidisciplinary teams to support the stability, safety, and long‑term performance of major construction projects.
• You’ll work across a diverse portfolio, from high‑rise developments to bridges, major highways, and rail tunnels—each offering fresh challenges and opportunities to broaden your technical expertise.

• Proficiency in geology, site investigation, report writing, logging, and sampling techniques
• Ability to prepare Health & Safety documentation and promote a safe working environment
• Experience in supervising multiple activities and staff on short and long‑term projects
• Competence in managing and collating site data using company software systems
• Strong written communication skills to produce factual reports

• Confident and knowledgeable in ground investigation techniques
• Minimum level of fitness required to undertake all site‑based tasks
• Proficient in using MS Office to create effective reports, communication, and record‑keeping
